Hardly a month has gone past since the last gig at Cascina Bellaria music club (Sleeping Beaties in top trash shape and Thee Bomb’o’Nirycs) and the memory of a great summer of music struggles to fade. As I rather avoid unnecessary name-dropping*, I will only say that stage in the middle of the lost countryside has been humped by many, aliens on acid, word jugglers, psychedelic gnomes, unlikely femmes fatale “à-la-Almodovar” and aspiring, top class hillbillies.

All or most of all played damn fine stuff, so much so that even the roughest bikers were spotted dancing along. Someone jumped in the pool, some others fell in by accident or too many beers and some were thrown in. someone puked, someone made out.
The psychedelic mojitos concocted by Elisa, Bea and Vale left a mark in our hearts as it did the lovely food cooked by Ceci (plus some extra weight, cheers Ceci!). The best soundman ever, Cecco, managed to keep the cool even in the most heated moments. And then, the audience, the regulars and the “I’ve-never-knew-this-place-existed-wow!” ones, they’ve all creatively contributed to make this project even more special. The Cascina as a music club is an insanely clear-headed project that could be born only by a perversely positive mind. A place where the subtle energy that is generated during the day with the Yoga school, is freed into the night like a swarm of fireflies, a kaleidoscopic ray of light that infects even the most hard-core rockers who leave content and cooler than ever.
Cascina is a dream that would love to become a real. A place that people who love good music, refer to as “brilliant fun”. If it will be so, it will be down to the perseverance of the mind behind the project and to the support of all old and future friends that with their music, presence and fun will contribute to make this club even more unique than it is now. However, should things go in a different direction, it will be another proof that only if you get your ass moving, you can get something done. It’s only if you WORK on a project that you can fail or succeed, but if you stay put in your fluffy bubble, dreams will only remain just that.

*ok we’re going to boast a little: Arbouretum, The Fleshtones, Assalti Frontali, The Warlocks, Black Rainbow, Sunday Morning, Laura Gibson, The Lords of Altamont, Humulus etc
