It’s october, It’s halloween. A mysterious soundtrack with some sparse gentler hues. Hanging on for dear life to an imaginary cobweb and looking for salvation within the music.

Myrkur – Mereridt. In between nordic folk and black metal with a hint of Dead Can Dance. By far the queen of pagan darkness

Ruby The Hatchet – Planetary Space Child. A journey on a spaceship piloted by an hippy on acid. Don’t expect to get anywhere though, just enjoy falling into a multi-coloured yet obscure cosmos

Ninos Du Brasil – Vida Eterna. EtnoElettronicaDark. Great album

Sud Sound System – Eternal Vibes. Even after so many years, there’s the ability to make the right rhythm. Refreshing and dance-like in spite of everything

L.A. Witch – Awesome mix of garage and psychedelia. Easy and pleasant for a mildly stoned afternoon, lit by the sun of a marvellous end of summer day spent by the sea looking at the waves

Vokonis – Shockingly intense, heavy, majestic. A great stoner album

Banditos – Visionland. Southern rock played by a crew of unlikely losers. Nothing new , just good old school rock

Caronte – Yoni. Occult rock. Internal sabbath, pure musical esotericism

David Rawlings – Poor David’s Almanack. A slightly pop Americana, beautiful songs that you want to keep listening over again

Big Thief – Capacity. Intimate, melancholic and first class mood. Beautiful songs, perfect for the Fall

Unsane – Sterilize. By the name and the artwork of their albim sleeves, it’s easy to guess the type of music Unsane make. I can only add that they’ve been making high quality stuff for the past twenty years. They do so in an extreme style, mixing the heaviest and most asphyxiating blues. Not for the faint-hearted

Wolves In The Throne Room – Thrice Woven. I don’t listen much to black metal. WITTR made a great album, Celestite, which was an icy and obscure Nordic symphony with hints of classic contemporary post core. With this album, much to delight of black metal fans, they go back to their roots. However they do it with great class.

Auburn Lull – Hypha. They “paint” abstract pictures made of sensations. Do not expect songs nor entertainment, only sounds that expand the feeling.
