Titus Andronicus – A productive cough. I love them deeply, and when you love someone, you tend to be biased. So I breathe and try to be unbiased: I only discovered them recently, thanks to the single from this album. To be fair, this is not their best album to date, though they’re still awesome. Each song is a pub anthem played with the same alcoholic clearness typical of those who know what their life’s priorities are. Having said that, if you’re planning a romantic evening and foreseeable hanky-panky, this would be worse than Carnivore, Jack Daniels and pizza.

Moby – Everything was beautiful and nothing hurt. His entire career is a rollercoaster of ups and downs and this latest collection is proof of it. However, when he gets it right, he’s pure class.

We have alsways liked Ben Seretan’s work, so much that we invited him to play at the Club a couple of summers ago. His approach to making music has changed through the years, the psychedelic vibe and the raspy voice so strong in Bowl of Plums, has morphed into something more intimate, dark, and his latest EP Plate of Pits features softer guitar playing and vocals.
