Oh Lazarus' music is a mixture of old time music, gospel, delta blues, pre-war folk, early jazz and traditional country reinterpreted in a punk/busker key.
The use of a resonator guitar played with a bottleneck evokes American scenarios, while the clarinet refers to the traditional 30’s jazz and the rhythm section makes do with an unusual percussions range of hotel bells, plates, pans, milk and a suitcase instead of the box.
The lyrics take from the tradition of American folk collected by the ethno-musicologist Alan Lomax as well as from the daring characters of the John Steinbeck novels.
Since 2014, Oh Lazarus shared the stage with: The Devil Makes Three, Dead Shrimp, Diego Deadman Potron, Elli De Mon, Eterea Post Bong Band, Fuzz Orchestra, Ufomammut, Lili Refrain, Bellhound Choir, My Sleeping Karma, An Harbor, Deniz Tek and BB Chris and His One Man Band.
In 2015 the first recording work “Good Times” was released.
